Shawn is a motivated and aggressive young driver who is headed for the top. At the early age of 8 Shawn's passion for the sport was displayed when he climbed behind the wheel and took to the track. In his very first year of racing, Shawn placed second in the championship and received Rookie of The Year honors. He quickly ascended through the elite ranks and during just two years in the senior division he won 63 Races, finished second 49 times, and had another 74 top 5 finishes on dirt tracks alone. During that time Shawn won a championship and placed second in another. His record on paved tracks is just as impressive, also including many wins. Shawn has raced on the high banks of dirt, the twists and turns of road courses, and paved ovals. Shawn has shown the ability to adapt to all types of racing, and is ready for the next challenge.

Shawn's grandfather, Gene Shannon, Is a famous and well-respected car owner in the racing community. Gene was inducted into the USAC hall of fame, and has fielded many USAC championship cars as well as 1956 and 1957 Indianapolis 500 cars.

Long Term Goals:
To successfully compete in the elite NASCAR Nextel Cup series.
